They were old style cartoons that retold storybook stories. Stories like Red Riding Hood, Rumpelstiltskin, etc. Also I think they were told in the old style, meaning the stories were darker than what you might have seen usually. Not a lot darker, but a little to moderate at times.
Looking for old cartoons from 1988-95 I think. Believe were on Nickolodean.?
