Hello I am 17 boy who lives in the city of chicago. And i am trying to find my first car im on a $4000 budget and have chosen between a 1999 honda accord sedan v6 and a 1999 Jeep grand cherokee . If you dont know anything about chicago, know that our weather if f*cking crazy. We have the hottest summers, falls filled with floods, and get at least 3-7 feet of snow in winters. We also have the worst roads since snow requires huge plow trucks to salt and scrape up the roads, causing huge pot holes every where . Which are usually just covered with asfalt which somes right up after a while so city is full untaken car pot holes.
Which car should i get?
Which ever one i get i am going to put speaker and base in the trunk.
I have found a honda accord sedan v6 1999 with 156,000 miles on it for $3000.
And i Have found a 1999 jeep grand cherokee v6 with 143,000 miles on it for $3100.
Which one is best buy? I know hondas are reliable and great on gas up to 300,000 miles if kept right. and Jeeps are great for the weather with a strong 4x4 and space.
I will be using which ever vehicle almost everyday, To drive to and from school with my 2 young brothers who are 15 (Freshman) Me 17 (Senior) And my youngest brother 12. My school is less than 5 mins away.
And will be using it for the normal big city teenage high school stuff, hanging out, going to downtown, going to the beach, movies.... normal stuff.
I know people might say dont get either car because of this or that, they are my only options unless, your truly have a better car.
Please help me choose between which car to get.
are jeeps good on gas? are hondas really reliable? please help.
