Looking for GSM phones with metal case

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for a new cell phone and need some advice. I currently own a Motorola V360 from T-Mobile. It's a great phone, but looks too much like a toy. I've owned a Motorola V60i and V60s from when I was with the big V. I love the weight and professional appearance of those phones.

Recently, I've stumbled upon a Motorola A732. From the pictures at http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=1536&source=BROWSER, it looks like the A732 may have a metal casing. Does anyone have this phone and can confirm this? What is your opinion of the phone?

Does anyone know of any other phones that have metal casing? I need a phone that will work with T-Mobile, and it doesn't have to be a Motorola. I would like to have the following features in order of priority:

1) Metal case - doesn't have to be 100%
2) EDGE support
3) Memory expansion port
4) MiniUSB port like on V360 and RAZR
5) Less than 100 mm in height

I have $400 limit that I could spend, and I can wait a little longer if a newer model is coming out.

Thanks for you time.

The only thing missing from the A732 and V3i is EDGE support. Otherwise, it would be the perfect phone for me. I don't care much for a camera or an MP3 on a cell phone. The feature I love most about the V360 is the option to use the phone as a USB drive when a memory card is inserted in the phone.

The V635 is, too, almost perfect. However, I've had bad experiences with the old style charging port on older Motorola phones (v60, etc.).

I also use my phone as a wireless modem to retrieve e-mails from the office when I'm traveling. I travel a lot on business. I may not need EDGE if GPRS Class 10 is fast enough. How fast is GPRS Class 10 compare to EDGE?

You could always get a chrome pebl. I love the one that I got. Also, unless you are die hard moto, you could buy the Nokia 8800/8801. It is solid stainless steel and the feel and build quality of the phone is second to none.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't read all of your requirements. Both phones I listed don't really fall under the type you are looking for.

Me too, but look at it this way:

The only thing odd about the charger for the V635 is the connector. It might go bad eventually, but they are cheap and you can pick up any 3rd-party aftermarket one cheap these days. They're everywhere.

The new Motorola mini-USB charger might have a more-reliable connector, but they are designed so that you HAVE to use a Motorola-branded one. Other mini-USB cables will NOT charge your phone. So you pay more if you want extra chargers or have to replace one.

The Motorola L7/SLVR is also very nice and inexpensive, too. Thanks for the suggestion.

So far, I have the following phones in the hat for serious consideration.

All Motorola: A732, V635, V3i, L7/SLVR

I may have to lower my standard and drop EDGE requirement. I can always carry the V360 in the laptop case as a spare for when I need to retrieve e-mails from the office.

Keep the suggestions coming. I don't want to cross post in other phone forums, but do other manufacturers (other than Nokia) make a professional looking phones with metal casing? I have only owned Motorola and LG phones. The Nokia is out of my price range. Absolutely nice phone, though.
