evoke all the senses...Can you help? Hello, I am working with students on creative writing techniques and need short extracts from novels or short stories in English that use poetic devices such as an extended methaphor, alliteration, assonance...and basically that really conjure up a strong image in your mind. I am particularly interested in descriptions of food, nature, people etc. that evoke all the senses. I have been trawling through Joanne Harris novels thinking she would be perfect but I'm only finding a selection of a few lines rather than half a page....All suggestions most welcome.
