:bouncing::bouncing:looking for someone how could explain what the doctors mean by " Scout images reveal partial lurabarization of S1 on the right with a rudimentary S1-2 disc." x-ray says transitional S1-2 dics space. I am in lost of pain, can't walk to far, can't sit for to long or can't bend, lots of pain in my butt. What could be wrong? Cat scan says no herniation or stenosis

Welcome to the board.

I believe this means that there is a suggestion that you have an extra vertebra. Instead of having 5 lurabar vertebrae, there is an extra one between Lurabar 5 and Sacral 1. Something is pinching or pressing on a nerve to cause you the kind of pain you are experiencing. Perhaps it is this extra bone.

I have an extra vertebrae -- I am not positive but I think they are saying that you are fused on one side but not the other. It is transitional because it is moving on one side and what is happening is the nerve is getting hung up and compressed so to speak.

I had a transitional vertebrae and at age 17 had it fused because it was compressing the sciatica nerve. I was missing the disc between the vertebrae. So when I moved, I had bone on bone rubbing and the nerve was getting stuck between the vertebrae.

This may or may not be your case. It sounRAB like you have found the reason for your back pain.

Hope this helps.
