i'm getting a texting plan once again, i haven't had a plan for 2 years. I never needed it. I'm with tmobile and staying with signing new contract.

phones i've tested
- sk3 / i loved the texting but i hated everything else. low speaker, no custom ringtones, no games. need internet plan
- t-mobile dash/ really small buttons hated i cant type
- tmobile mda/ laggy phone. i disliked the touch screen more then i liked it. extremely hard to dial while driving
- tmobile SDA/ current winner as of now. nothing wrong just need a change.

I haven't put my finger on if i wanted a keyboard or just a simple t9 interface. i'm looking for a phone that i can use SMS for AIM, my main concern. followed by loud speaker phone and alarm clock features. doesn't have to be smartphone but that can work. clam for flip doesn't matter. I need a somewhat decent interface. FM tuner would be nice as well but not needed camera i can careless but i would like to have that option in case of say a car accident or so. My price range is anywhere actually. I've looked at the N95 and i feel its too much phone but i love and i might grab it.

My thoughts right now are
8801/8800 nokia - i love that look and i think its decent but worried about keypad and texting. FM tuner + haven't heard speaker phone. not sure about AIM client

- N75/n76 - looks really decent i like the layout. I wont need it for mp3 since i had my ipod for that. slim looks sexy. not sure about AIM client. speakerphone should be loud if running from same speaker as the loud speaker for the audio.

any other suggestions.

E61i. Keyboard is great. Alarm is loud, even progressively gets louder (assuming it's like my E62). Speakerphone is loud. Has a camera (no idea how good it is). I don't think it has an FM tuner. Unbranded so it should have Wireless Village which will handle AIM through the OS.

I don't get the impression that any of the high end Nokias have good keypads. It seems they saved the well spaced keys for the low end phones.

what are the average retails prices for these E series phones. And how big are these phones. The pictures make it look similar to the DASH. The DASh would be the phone for me only IF the buttons are bigger or more spread out. I need a toothpick to text ppl.

I've change my requirements now.

1. about to use texts as AIM.
2. loud speaker/alarm clock

thats all i care about. Agile that is for the s60's are using gprs tho right?
