This was around the time of the early baby sitters club. The main character was the lead singer of NY club band 'Lexi Turner' aka Alexis Marilyn Turner. She lived in so-ho flat with her aunt after her father died. The first book involved her boyfriend Brian turning into an abusive jerk. She initially dated the lead guitarist but he was an unapolagetic womanizer. One of the band members had a girl friend who was an animal activist. This book series went on for a while in the eighties, but I can not find it anywhere. I also remember that Glass Tiger was mentioned in the series.
