I've looked at Birkenstocks, which I might end up getting in the future but they're pretty expensive. As are Doc Martens and Fitflops. I'm a college student with flat feet and sciatica issues. Shoes like Adidas are more in my price range and supposedly have excellent arches, but I won't buy them because they promote sweatshop labor. Same goes for Nike.
Fashion also is kind of a factor. I tend to not love sneakers that actually look like sneakers. I prefer canvas sneakers and high tops, and shoes that look like TOMS - but they usually have no arch support whatsoever. Are there any high tops with actual arch support?
As for other styles, I'm open to whatever for the most part. Clogs, oxfords, boots, etc. Also, I go to school on a very hilly campus so I'll be walking a lot. Sometimes in the rain.
