I am looking for a road bike around $1000 or less. I want a lightweight one, preferably carbon fiber and/or aluminum. Disc brakes would be nice, but not required since I know they are rare to find on road bikes. Also, is it much cheaper to buy the parts for my bike and assemble it myself, considering that I would have to buy all of the tools? Any help would be much appreciated.
