Looking for a sport bike?

Just got my motorcycle permit and am going to be taking my road test in the summer. I'm looking for a sport bike that sounds "cool" and looks fast. Speed is not very important but I would like a bike that has a sporty style. I am currently looking at a 07 Yamaha YZF-R1. Also, the Kawasaki Ninja has caught my eye. I am only 16 and hopefully I won't regret stating that because I am not just a kid. I currently own a 2000 Mustang Gt, it has some kick to it but I treat it well and would and just like having nice, due to the lack of a better word, "toys." I would like somthing as stated previously "sporty" and I wont lie to you but to impress some friends with the, Key Word: looks and potential it has. If you could suggest a model and year..ect...I would appreciate after all my parents are still not going to let me get a sport bike but a scooter instead which would be fine cause my plan was o get one of those to save on gas. I would like to just surf the web to see which bike suites my style, thankyou for your help.
