Looking for a site that tells the news in more of a complete narrative way.?

I hate finding out about current events and having to sort through article after article just to get some sort of idea of what happened. Most news articles only talk ablout one small update after another. Like that shooting in arizona. I found out about that but all I could read were small updates. I had no idea what happened and I wanted someone to explain the big picture. All I could find was "update: arizona shooter might have been affilitated to X group" or something. I'm like 'who the fuck is the arizona shooter?'

is there such thing as a news site that tells the news like in a timeline? Perhaps summarizing articles and only giving me the big picture on issues until i'm ready to read more details?
