I'm trying to find the name/author of a romance book I read before but I'm not too clear on all the details. I know this guy is holding a woman captive in her house/cottage, and that he looks like this escaped criminal but is really a professional chess player or something like that. I believe she might have initially taken him in because she found him alongside the road in winter and he was frozen and out of it, and then she sees on the news that he looks like the criminal the police are looking for.
