Looking for a New Smartphone (Canada)

I am looking for a phone primarily for texting, apps and gadgets in general. Not looking for something business related. I am currently split between the EVO, Incredible (or Nexus if Incredible isn't available) or the Xperia 10. I realize the EVO and Incredible arn't in Canada under those names right now. Should I wait for either of those HTC phones, or is it pretty much narrowed down to Nexus One vs X10. Carrier is not an issue, as I have had somewhat pleasant experiences with Bell, Telus, and Rogers.


Additionally, would it be wise to wait a little longer for a phone coming to Canada (iPhone early July ... unaware of other prospects or buy within the next few weeks?

Are there any Canadian alternatives to these phones? Not including the ones listed.

Also, I realize the software problems with the Xperia, but is there any other issues or detriments i should be aware of?
 
Well, Bell is going to be offering the HTC Scorpion. Is it worth waiting for this, or is it still quite a ways off (Much more than a month)
 
I've read online and also have a friend who owns the X10. He says that the battery is brutal and I know he's not a big web surfer.

I'm also in Canada and plan to get a smartphone soon. I'm heavily leaning towards the nexus one or maybe the legend.
