I need a 1080p monitor (has to be 1920x1080p 16:9 no more, no less), good response, well built, good colours, sturdy, durable. I know such things exist because I've been digging around on the internet all damn night for over 10 hours, trying to find a suitable replacement to my Samsung Syncmaster 2032MW (1680x1050 - games on PS3 obviously look terrible because of this). I've been reading Cnet Reviews and DigitalVersus. I've also checked out the most popular screens on Ebuyer.com and read user reviews.
I can't handle it anymore. It's all contradicting!
Apparently... TN panels give poor angles, but I'm not 100% sure these folks have brains because my Syncmaster 2032 has good viewing angles. Other panel types for LCD's have better blacks and colours but slow response! Other types have stupid prices.
THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE!
I have £240 Max to Spend. If I can spend £220 quid or less, that'd be better.
I've been checking out the Samsung XL2370, F2380, PX2370, P2470H, etc...
...either one has crap black levels, or ridiculous response times, or they suffer ghosting, or others have problems such as bad programming, or controls, or bad features, such as being easily knocked over.
This is getting beyond a joke.
I don't know which one to pick. I need a good screen for PC & PS3 Gaming, Blu-Ray Movies, SD Movies and general desktop work, or messing with photos in Paint.net.
The screen must have at least 1 x HDMI and 1 x DVI-D. HDCP is obviously essential. I preferably don't want speakers because I'm getting different speakers to go with it, an the screen can't be less than 22" - Preferably 23" or 24". No higher.
Someone help me out, I need to rest my brain.
