Looking for a GOOD feature phone.

Just purchased a new Smartphone, after a week and a half of decent service and a change in its performance, I have become very unhappy with its in just about every way.

Was thinking about just buying a good GPS device and getting a very good feature phone.
So my question is this. Are there any recommendations on REALLY good feature phones. One that works, not like so many that have issues from the time you pull them out of the box and are never resolved by the service provider or the manufacturer. Just a good feature phone.

I have no problem paying a good price on a pay as you go phone. I do expect the phone to work properly. In every way.
We fork over our cash expecting that we are buying a working, FULLY working dependable phone. To often we hand over our money and get an expensive paperweight.

SE T715a. I just about abandoned smartphones after using one of these over the winter. It's got great reception, good voice quality, a basic email client and can run Google Maps and even Google Street View very well. The WAP Web browser is pretty good as well.

The only thing that I would change is to have a better selection of ringtones that have more piercing tones that I can hear from another floor in the house. The vibrate function is just passable as well.

One upside to SE handsets is that they support text message alerts in addition to voice call alerts with Bluetooth handsfree devices that have caller ID. This came in very handy over the winter as I used a wristwatch with alerts via Bluetooth, which helped me avoid many missed calls with the handset in a winter coat pocket.
