Looking for a deep philosophical Anime?

Maybe one that focuses on a character who is cynical toward love for example and the show explains why this character feels this way; and the whole show should have an undercurrent of philosophy.

Some philosophical anime I've seen are Evangelion, Death Note, Ghost in the Shell and Ergo Proxy.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks :)
