...Celica GTS? Toronto answers please!? I am currently 18years old [will be 19 on Sept.22nd, 2010]
Female
Living at home, full time college student with part-time job.
Living in Markham, Ontario, Canada [the most expensive city to insure in Ontario]

I received my G1 license in March 2008.
I was immediately insured on my mother's vehicle as an occassional driver.
Summer of 2008 I completed a legit driver's ed course. [should drop insurance 10%]
December 31st 2008 I received my G2 license.
Still insured on my mom's 2003 Honda Pilot SUV, paying $362 A YEAR!!!!

I am entering my second year of college, living at home. My college is about a 15minute drive from my house. I am sick of sharing the car with my mom, and it would be excellent if I could go visit my bf whenever I wanted [he's away at university]. Plus I feel bad taking her car for the day whenever I have classes, it's very inconvenient.

I am currently looking at a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS.
I would like any reviews anyone has on this particular car. I've always LOVED them, and Toyota's are very reliable.
The one I am looking at is a 2000, with 233,000km[a lot, i know]
GTS model, 1.8L 4Cyl automatic transmission. He is asking $4,500 which from what I can see is reasonable.

Wondering how these cars are when they have this many km's on them?
And how they are in the winter.

Lastly, I've got some quotes to insure it under my own name.
TD insurance- $6000/yr
Belair- $3600/yr
Desjardin- $4000/yr

Wondering if anyone knows of a better insurance company to insure this car under for cheaper. I'm only looking for the bare minimum. & hope I don't wreck it!!

help will be appreciated!
