Story of a women's amazing survival during WWII. Her father owned a shop for repairing watches, they hid 15-17 Jews (all survived, except a women who broke curfew). I believe she was Dutch. She was arrested for suspicion of her dealings with the underground, her father was beaten and died in the hallway of the jail. Her sister and she were sent to a concentration camp and she was able to smuggle in a bible. Her sister was beaten often by one guard and later died. She was released by accident from this camp, she later learned her documents were put in the wrong pile and all women her age and older were exterminated. She became a motivational speaker and painted a concentration camp pink (her sister's request) for german soldier's mental health, after the war. The guard who was the cause of her sister's death approached her during one of her talks and asked to shake her hand.
I've tried googling, libraries and book clubs... to no avail, can anyone help?

Sounds 'The Hiding Place', the story of Corrie ten Boom...
although I've never heard the bit about painting a concentration camp pink.
