looking for a book....any ideas?

I have to read a book for my english class and i'm having trouble finding a book.It has to relate to the topic of the month.The topic this month is the beach.amy ideas??
 
the Rum diaries by hunter s. thompson is a must because it's about Life in Puerto Rico on the beach in the 70s.


Or, we read Lord of the Flies in high school and you might know of it.
 
I read a great book and it was Called

Bodysurfing
by Anita Shreve

Don't let the title put you off, it's more hidden signifance than what the book is ACTUALLY about.
It was great and very originally written. It was also a quick read because of the sentence structure.
