Looking at a 2003 Dodge Stratus?

For what it's worth, I had a friend years ago who had a Stratus. I don't remember what year the car was but it had to be prior to 2002. It was a very dependable and nice driving car. He was very happy with it, and he loaned it to me for like 4 months and I enjoyed driving it and wanted to buy one for myself.

My only other experience with Dodge products is my own 2002 Neon (which I've had since May of '02). That car has been super dependable. I've had to put a couple of batteries in it, a new set of tires, and a bunch of oil changes....otherwise it's given me no problems. It's boring to look at, but that's my ONLY complaint about that car in the 7 yrs I've been driving it.

Best wishes you make a choice you are very happy with!

I'm looking at a 2003 dodge stratus. It has 163,000 miles. Kelley blue book tells me its worth $3000something ,and the guy is selling it for about $2500. Bad idea? Good idea? What do you think?

Keep in mind I'm not trying to spend much money.. just a car to get me to school and back.
