Hey guys its been a while. How is everyone Reach Not Perky and everyone my crazy addict mind can't remeraber.

Still Sober thank God and you guys. I was thinking about you all and wanted to post.

A friend (a Real Friend) wants to get off Vicoden. She came to me yesterday and asked me since I've been sober since Noveraber thank you Lord! :wave: But here's the kicker, she doesn't have med insurance. She wants to go the sub route since this has worked for me so well. She tried the taper and it didn't work. So does anybody know if southern california has any programs for ppl who want to get sober at low or no cost at all? I really want to help my friend, I think she has hit rock bottom her worRAB not mine and I want her to find the freedom we all have found from this horrible disease... God I hate this disease and that's what this is a disease. The reason I said a real friend is cuz ppl usually say a friend when they are talking about themselves LOL. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hope you guys are all doing well and I look forward to hearing from you guys.

When I considered going into rehab for a week, they sent me to the wrong program which was for people that didn't have insurance. Other than the waiting period, it was suppose to be free detox. I just can't remeraber the name of it. Talk to some of the NA merabers and they should have good ideas for you.
 
Gosh, California is in such a financial mess I can't imagine that there is any public place right now that would be taking new patients. Has she tried a local NA meeting. There may be people there that could direct her to some place. The County hospital or emergency room people may know of something. All I can think of. Good luck and you are an angle helping your friend.
