sure you can... come on in the address is 1685 industrial way. Stop in at the office and ask for matt. We have to charge sales tax if you pick it up in reno though.

I will try to clear up the confusion on measuring the height of the shields.

It is from the center screw with the ultras and the classics, we measure the Xstreams from the top of the fairing strait up and down. I will work to clarify that on the website. Thanks for pointing that out.

The reason the x stream is measured that way is because the windshield leans back too much to measure the length of the shields. If we did a 12 inch shield would only go up 10 inches.

No we are usually out riding on Saturdays but if you want to get together on saturday and try out a few shields let me know what you want to try and Ill bring it home with me and we can hook up and you can try them out.

LRS,
I went to your website to look at the different shades that you offer but I am still a little confused. You have several pictures showing the various options of shades but none that actually compare the different shades side by side. I was wondering if you could take some pictures from the viewpoint of the rider sitting in the seat and looking thru the various shades that you have to compare the visibility levels of each.

I am 5'9'' with a 32" inseam. I have a 09 Ultra Classic with a stock seat and was wondering what size ultra flip I should get? I am looking at the medium gray or dark gray. Thanks for your help.

In the parts section I just posted about some windshields that we found in the storrage closset today..... we are selling them for $40

I was cleaning out the closet at work this morning and I found some shields that I had forgotten about, they are either second shields (light blemish) or good shields that never got boxed up. Either way rather than screw around with inventory I wanted to put them up here on the forums and let you guys get the first chance to grab them.

The first person to email me about the shield, gets it. I will send a pay pal money request to the lucky recipient.

Price is $40 for shield
$10 for shipping USPS 2-3 day mail.

Please email me at [email protected]

If you respond to me on the forums I might not get the message so please email me.

Heres a list of what I have

ONE: 8 inch black Xstream Windshield 3 hole - ( you can not see through this shield its black) its for a 3 hole bat wing fairing. normaly $99.99

TWO: 6 inch dark tint classic flip up shields 3 hole - normaly $79.99 - for a 3 hole fairing

ONE: 9 inch dark tint Ultra Flip Up shield 3 hole _ has been unwrapped but never installed - I think someone returned this to get a light tint version.

ONE: 6 inch Dark Tint Ultra flip up windshield 3 hole - 2nd shield has some minor flaw but I cant even see it. Some one along the line decided it was a second, but it looks pretty darn good to me.

ONE: 8 inch medium tint Ultra Flip Up shield 3 hole - this was a new shield and I don't know why it wasn't int a box but oh well its time to clean out the closest.

ONE: 9 inch Classic Flip Up shield 3 hole - 2nd shield has a slight marking because of the masking used on the plastic. Otherwise its a perfect shield.

I just wanted to let you guys out there know what kind of guy you are dealing with in Matt from Long Ride Shields. What an awesome person he is. I live in Sparks,Nv not to far from LRS I had emailed him( you can see them above) about coming over and talking to him about the height of the Ultra Shield I need to be able to look over and still get the air to move over the top of my helmet. Matt and I got into a conversation that lasted for about 45 minutes and I almost felt guilty for taking up his time. We talked about shields and HD's riding and when I left I felt like I learned alot about what I went there for and got another friend and possible new riding bud in the process. The products he showed me were top of the line and I think the one for me is going to be the 8" Ultra flip. The point of this post is for me to tell you that LRS is a great product and I believe you can't do better with Matt as a representative for the shield.
Thanks
Matt
