Long distance hiking shoes?

I want lightweight trail shoes that will go the distance with a light pack. Something PCT or AT-rated. Preferably a good, full-length shank, waterproof (or dries quickly), lightweight shoe (less than 20oz per pair).

I was looking at the Montrail Masochist or the La Sportiva Crosslite bit I don't think these have good shanks in them and my feet will be bruised to pieces after walking on rocks.
