In a few days my dad and I are driving to Newcastle to pick up a nearly 10 week old Australian Shepherd puppy but we live on the Sunshine Coast in Qld. The journey is about 11 hours with breaks but I'm worried that this will be too much for the little pup to handle. I've tried to prepare a crate and other things as much as I can but are there any possible suggestions?? Like how often breaks should be and whether I should give her water along the way or not? We thought about taking the plane but this won't work.
So far I've put some newspaper and blankets in a travel crate and got plenty of towels but I'm not sure whether I should have her in my lap most of the time or in her crate.
Thanks!!
