LoJack & extended warrenty on a Harley Davidson Nighter XL worth it?

Choppy is absolutely right,... get the Lojack direct from Lojack. On the warranty:The bike is/was priced with two years built in. I was able to swing the throw-in on the extra 5 years,(did not finance it) so I wouldn't know about the "value" of it, but if I would have paid, its already paid for itself: Mine's an '06 Heritage and a service bulletin came out on the fuel injectors. (back in Feb 06) I printed it off, took the bike over and picked it up in a week... no muss, no fuss. Zero dollars out of pocket. (I only explained that to point out for those that think the HD warranty is crap,.... its not)
I would say the warranty is peace of mind. Perhaps negotiate with them by asking for that first two years warranty period scheduled oil changes on the house...

(edit) if you have spent more than 15 minutes perusing this category you know that the poster below me whose avatar rhymes with fart has a reputation(rightfully earned) for having no clue what he's saying (notice the contradiction in the same answer), and some reality issues. He is not even a rider and has no standing in the community, nor authority from which to speak (experience). Please do not give ANY CREDENCE to his outlandish and futile claims... he is simply provoking anyone who chooses to saddle up on a Harley.

So we bought our first Harley!! But were stuck as far as the lo jack goes. We live in a condo and have no covered parking so were thinking lo jack might give us a piece of mind. The dealer is offering it for $900. The extended warrenty is for 7 years and includes parts and labor, rental cars, room and board if were 100 miles from home. They want $1,600. Like I said we bought the nightster XL 1200. We paid around $11,000. Do you think the lo jack and warrenty are worth it. Oh, and we did the GAP insurance for sure ( paid $500). What do you think we should do? Are they worth it?

Lo Jack costs $700, the dealer is making a $200 profit.
The extended warranty is worthless UNLESS all the maintenance is done by the book and to the dealer requirements, that means you must have the dealer do the oil changes with factory HD Oil and filters, AND if in any way you refuse to replace parts not covered under warranty such as brakes, tires, drive belts then the dealer can VOID your warranty at his say-so! Harley Davidson Corporate has no say-so and can't help you, the warranty power is in the dealers hands.
GAP Insurance is great at bad economic times.
My opinion you did the right thing, the extended warranty is worth it because HD's are junk (sorry, just being honest), but just buy the Lo Jack yourself, and yes on the GAP Insurance.

Buy the prepaid service and the extended warranty. As far as security? Buy and install it yourself. I have prepaid service that saved me $380.00 on a shop bill last year.
