...afternoon wedding? I know that it is important to my fiance to have 'the party' after the wedding. He is looking forward to being able to be around his friends and family, mingle, hang out, etc.
I had initially thought of a morning or early afternoon wedding to cut costs; a morning wedding, we can have brunch and mimosas, which is cheaper than a dinner and a bar, or early afternoon, where we can have champagne and finger foods - again, cheaper.
But, he wants 'the party'.
Can we DO that in the afternoon? If it goes until the dinner hour, people are going to expect dinner. I could prepare things beforehand, and have friends do so as well, and cater it ourselves - only 40 people. But, the bar would be expensive.
What can I do about this? Suggestions?
