Hello,
Someone suggested that using local honey was a good idea to help with allergies. You start out with small doses and build up, like allergy shots. I did some researching and found that it can work but can be dangerous as well. If you have asthma, you have to be very careful. I like the idea of using all natural things rather than meRAB, but was wondering if anyone it or heard of it.

Thanks.

I know people who have used local honey and say they've had a good outcome. My nephew is one. However, I tried it and it didn't do anything for me. You could try it. Everyone I know just did one tablespoon for some length of time (i forget how long but it was so may weeks). You could try for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.

BTW, when I tried it I had asthma and it didn't seem to cause any issues but I just did the one tablespoon per day route.

Thank you. I was worried a little because I have food allergies, peanut and pine nut and maybe more, not sure yet. The reviews I read were a little scary, saying you could have an allergic reaction to this and be very careful. I am glad your nephew had success, and sorry you didn't. Do you have food allergies too?

Well, that's a question I've avoided! I probably have one or two odd ones but I've never had testing for them. I've had allergy problems since I was a child and I'm 64 now. There are just some things I refuse to deal with and food allergies is one. None are life threatening - at this point. I do get welts and rashes from time to time that are most likely associated with some food but it's not so bad that I feel the need to do anything about it. I quit cigarettes and caffeine...not in a mood at 64 to quit much else!

Oh I dont' blame you. I am 50 and it really annoys me that this food allergy thing just hit me. Actually, I haven't been able to eat walnuts or many fruits for awhile, but the peanut and pine nut is new. Thank goodness I wasn't allergic to hops or barley, I can still have cold beer every now and then.
