Dear Happy...(may I call you that?)
Oh, the hot water, how I love it too! I am not limber enough to get in the tub, and my BP can't stand jacuzzi's, but I take hot showers several times a day, which always feels so good...it's easy when you are living in flannel pajamas! Slip them on, slip the off, shower, repeat. My dear mother found the coolest jammies, two piece flannel jobs, with neat patterns on them. Comfy and soft.
The physical therapy was great! I'm so happy about that. My last PT was more like a workout, weight machines, stairs, etc., but this one was more like a massage, followed by heat therapy and the tens unit. It was relaxing. That was the first half of my PT. Once she got me layed down, with pillows here and there, a heating pad, and turned off the lights...the room began to spin. Yep, I barfed, but they were so nice about it! In fact, they had a young man walk me and my mother to the car...
Oh, and I finally got a diagnosis. It's the Piniformis! It's a deep muscle that connects our hips to our spine, and she rubbed that thing like no tomorrow. She said it was over-compensating for my general weakness, which makes total sense to me. It has been working overtime the last few month's, and it finally gave. Finally! this after three trips to the "specialist" (in which he mis-wrote two prescritions-requiring a trip back to fix them), he had no idea. Cheers to the physical therapist! I look forward to going back on Friday, Monday. Wednesday, repeat....more appointments!
Today was a good day...and I hope it was good for all you, too!
