Living in a Recliner

maybe your hubby is saying stuff like that about the new 4WD vehicle to give you something to strive for.....maybe it's his way of letting you know that he's not giving up on you, that you will be back on your feet again soon.

Thank you One lung,

The PT certainly won't hurt, well I take that back...it probably will hurt-but the end result should be positive, and that's where I am going to focus. Anything to get rid of this pain medication, which while masking the pain, it has it's own problems that come with it. I just don't like it. Of course, my only knowledge comes from watching a friend who would die for the stuff...turning from a witty, lively guy, into a drug induced mess. It takes the edge off, for sure..but I like the edge. My favorite place is standing on it, with my toes curled over the edge, hanging on. In my dreams I am always flying off. Never have I dreamed of being conked out on the side of a road, unable to lift myself up!

Rose, You may be right about hubby, and his obsession to get back to where we were... His intentions are golden, I am sure. It was already pushing it, to still be riding as a 48 year old woman! I could definitely ride with the big boys, ever since I was a teenager, and up until now. In fact, we still camp and ride with the same people. Of course, I encourage him to go without me, but he says that's no fun, and the last time he went, he called me a million times, and then had big trouble with his truck on the way home. That is the cause of him mind shopping for a bigger better vehicle. His only criteria seems to be it's power and towing capacity, rather than getting himself back and forth to work 5 days a week. His new vehicle will include big car payments, of course. He honestly cannot afford anything he wants, and I don't know where he/we can squeeze a car payment, when he lives paycheck to paycheck. I certainly can't help, as I am living on SS disability, with a child to provide for that will soon be off to college. I am constantly saving every little bit I can, but not for a pricey vehicle, just to tow our trailer over a big hill 6-7 times a year!

I find a bit of pain relief from water therapy. Hot tub or bath tub, i don't have a Hot tub but for now soaking in a tub is a dab of relief. I know we can't be mermaids and be in water 24/7 but a little soaking can ease muscle tension. Are you able to try the tub, just a thought for you.
Pain can just drag us down doesn't it. One of those tubs with jets would be even better, i don't have that either. I don't think i'm getting one as a gift either, just dreaming a bit on that. It's good to dream.

Hope all your appointments are going smooth for you.
You have alot of good friends here, wish you well real soon.

As Always
