I’m 18 and this December I’ll be finishing my first year at Community College. I’m getting kind of depressed in community college, and I got accepted into a pretty decent state school for the spring semester. I’m thinking about enrolling, but the dorms are absolutely horrible. Everyone I talked to told me to stay off campus because there is absolutely nothing to do and there is a huge drug problem.
I don’t know anyone else who can room with me, so my only option is to live off campus in a studio apartment. Do you think I will be too lonely? I’m a very social person, but there aren’t that many clubs on campus. I’m thinking about joining my local political committee and possibly even starting an online business. My family thinks I’m going to hate it, but I’m not really a fan of living home anymore. Should I take a risk and live alone?
