has anyone seen the original black and white version of this film, i watched it a few years ago and i thought it is brilliant. i am still trying to see if them have it on DVD yet.

I've seen the black and white DVD around. Usually in the cut price shops like Play, things like this are pretty cheap most of the time.

I love both versions. Have them both on dvd. There's a really good feature on my b&w version. There's a menu option for a dolby 5.1 sound mix, when you select it, a note comes up saying 'you must be kidding' (or worRAB to that effect).

It's a shame the alternate ending for the musical isn't on the dvd (legal wrangles), I've always wanted to see Audrey II jumping off Brooklyn Bridge.

There is a very brief sequence of Audrey II on the bridge on the dvd I've got but blink and you'll miss it.

A test shot of the alternate ending is on my NTSC copy of the newer Rick Moranis one, where a load of gigantic Audrey2's advance on a city, very interesting. As is the fact that they originally went with the true ending, where Seymour and Audrey are eaten. Audiences were *horrified*, and they had to go back to the studio to reshoot a more hollywood ending.
