Links to website on a local HTML page open in a new window.?

I have made my own HTML custom home page for internet explorer with links to my most used sites, but when i click on the link, it opens in a new window because it is in a different security zone. I know there's a code you can put in the <head> section but i don't know what it is. Any help would be appreciated
