Lincoln ls skipping question?

This is to anybody who KNOWS EXACTLY what they're talking about! I have a 3.0L v6 lincoln ls 2002! It skipps even while idling and I use the right gas! My engine light is not on.. So what could be some causes of why its skipping? And my car uses 91+! Not unleaded regular! Just wanna know some reasons why it could skip like it does! Wanna get it taken care of b4 my car gets even worse! I'm gettin the spark plugs changed tomorrow
