So recently, when I open Limewire, I see the October 2010 lawsuit warning, as I'm sure everyone does. Does this mean that I can't use it anymore? Or is this a court ordered cease and desist thing?
In what is, of course, a purely hypothetical situation, if someone were to use limewire to illegally download copyrighted music today, would they be more likely to get caught or something?
If so, and given the possible eventual outcome of the lawsuit that Limewire may go bankrupt, how else might one obtain mp3s for free?
