Lightspeed systems content control version 6 and PS3...?

I am having problems connecting my playstation 3 to my internet connection at school, could this lightspeed system filter stop me connecting. I have configured it all with the correct IP/DNS/Router settings, but when I test the connection it says that the first internet connection has failed...

Any suggestions?
