Okay, I'm not here begging for help or saying none of this is my fault... just venting about a shitty situation we got ourselves into.
My GF and I are very poor. This is the lifestyle we chose and we are working at improving it, and improving our finances. Well, we both have unpaid traffic tickets (she's on a payment plan, I am not yet... one thing at a time) and so her license is suspended. Yesterday she got pulled over coming home from work.
So, license revoked, misdemeanor, plus another traffic infraction. Now she really can't drive cuz she could go to jail if she got pulled over again. But she needs to get to work and back. She's taking the bus home today (I gave her a ride to work) but it would be a serious hindrance to our lifestyle to take the bus. She has had terrible bus experiences and bad luck follows her like a stray dog, so it makes me nervous too.
We tried to go to court to pay up today and it was closed. I said we need to come back tomorrow and she just started flipping out. She was saying I don't care, and it's not my problem so I just don't understand because everything's okay for me, etc. And that was basically how it was until I dropped her off for work. When I dropped her off, she was sobbing and I tried to calm her down but nothing I was doing or saying could do the trick. And she wouldn't stay in the car to calm down.
So we need to pay a lot of money. And the worst part is, my license is expired and possibly (probably) suspended too and I will need to settle up all that too.
And tbh I'm starting to worry about this relationship. She wouldn't let me "in" to calm her down. It's been a long time since she has. :sad:

It sounds like the stress of money and tickets and such is getting to her, that's probably why she's not exactly opening up. That's my guess, at least.
