I'm not personally against nuclear power, but it only took about 30 seconds of searching to show that your statistic "nuclear energy is responsible for the deaths of 0 americans" is incorrect.

It also has the potential to be catastrophic (like Chernobyl), so you can easily go from 0 deaths per year to thousands in a single accident with hundreds of thousands of people needing to be relocated. Wikipedia call Chernobyl the most expensive disaster in history.
Nuclear power can be a useful addition to our energy mix, but it will NOT solve our long-term problems and must be done very carefully.
Edit: Sorry if the connection between Uranium mining and nuclear energy was not clear ...I suppose they could be mining it as a colorant for ceramics, but I'm not sure if they use it for that anymore. The point is that the statement is obviously an unsubstantiated exaggeration. I'm sure that there are many many more deaths associated with nuclear energy
It's good that we don't have Chernobyl style plants, but I'm sure the Russians didn't think their reactor was going to explode either. Problems are not always correctly anticipated or dealt with once they occur and that was true for Three Mile Island. It's great that nothing catastrophic happened, but to think such a thing is impossible for US nuclear reactors is incredibly naive. I guess you don't think caution is necessary, but I do.
