Liberal studies program at NYU vs. college of arts and sciences?

What are the main differences between the liberal studies program at NYU and the college of arts and sciences? I recently got into the liberal studies program but im kind of confused about how it works. Has anyone had any personal experience with these? Please help! thanks:)
