LGBT: How does the current issues of same-sex marriage compare with past...

...issues of civil rights? I'm thinking again. Haha.

Well, in school I had to read a bunch of stuff about civil rights in the 1960's.

Isn't denying somebody the right to get married directly violating the part of the Declaration Of Independence that says a government is there to protect the rights of the people? And that all people are entitled to the unalienable rights of: "... Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness"

Mainly, "the pursuit of happiness"?

If getting people married makes them happy, then why is the government getting in the way of that? It's completely immoral, and technically illegal anyway. I mean, we founded our country on those beliefs.

I'm just thinking since I've got nothing better to do right now.

Ignore this last part if you want, I'm just curious.

Mini-Question:

It's been on my mind a lot lately. But for a guy would you consider 5'9"-5'10" short, tall, or average?
You don't have to answer the mini-question I'm just wondering people's opinions on it.
How do the current issues*

Ugh, Grammatical Error.
