lg vx8300 phone trouble please help?

when someone sends me a pic on my phone it will not like receive the message it will then ask me if i want to recieve them and if i say yes it takes forever and then says that i cant recieve them and i need these pics. so if you have any info on this phone and why i cant receive pics thanks
