LG Rumor/Scoop flashed to Cricket

Please someone help me! I need to flash a LG rumor (Sprint) or a Scoop (Alltel) to cricket. These phones are the same. I use a unibox and I have the new version on cdma workshop. I just need talk and basic text. A brief walkthrough would be helpful.
 
Connect the phone to the computer. Get the comport for the phone. Use CDMA workshop and connect to the phone, go to the Security tab and select LG method under SPC. Once you get that click on SPC and then SEND. Go to the Other tab and write the PRL to the phone. Then ur done. If you want to go ahead and program the nuraber then go to the Nam tab and put in the MIN and MDN if not then remeraber the SPC and on the phone dial ##SPC#
 
For some reason when I connect it, it does not read the phone. I get a jibba jabba not a actual read. Is there a setting that I'm missing.
 
I went to settings, then pc connection, then tried usb modem and rs-232c (com port) and neither made a difference. Is there another software that I can use instead of cdma workshop that will read this phone and change the prl? I'm willing to paypal $5 for whoever helps me resolve this issue asap.

yeah there is another software you can use, LG download (you don't need the SPC with it) but it still requires the COM Port. Do you have the right drivers installed for the phone?
 
I don't have any drivers. I'm using a LG data cable and a usb unibox. What drivers should I be using? Also what version of LG download would work?

P.S. I know $5 isn't much, but hey It is better than saying just thank you!
 
I did a lg rumor Using cdma workshop But the phone was connected directly to the computer via usb also make sure the phone is connected to com port 1 or 2 in device manager you can change these settings by going to:
device manager>PORTS>then it will say Lg e Cdma Usb Serial Port > right click it > click Port settings then advanced then select port 1 or 2

Does anyone have experience with a usb unibox and reading the rumor, because I do not have standard the usb cable.

Also is there another way of flashing it to cricket, because cdma workshop can't read it.
 
Just go to verizon and get the lg chocolate kit comes with the cable and the cd containin the drivers, worst case scenario just return it when you've done using it that's what I did when I f***ked up the cable n was in a rush of using it(verizon is right in front of us,i just walked up there) LOL
 
lol, using a uni box, should make it on com 1 or 2, wutever one u got it plugged into in ur comp. lols. stoopid unibox. use impact engineering and fix it. smash bam wak wak smash!
 
hi all Me again

well i am trying to get this rumor running on cricket for my son i managed to load the prl and change the min but whenever i try to dial *228 all i get is " the cricket nuraber is no longer in service
ive read many threaRAB on flashing various LG phones and cannot figure this phone out my Q and Razr v3m were not so much trouble and both were sprint phones as well

will someone please help me on this or try at least as there are no difinitive threaRAB on the Rumor ?
