This is my first post here and I'm not completely sure anyone can help but I thought I'd throw it out there and see.....here goes
I have an LG Rumor that was fully flashed to cricket from sprint. I purchased it from a store that buys/sells/flashes phones. I got it activated on my cricket account and everything worked great for 2 days.....talk/text/pix/web. then all of a sudden out of nowhere I tried to make a phone call and kept getting a "welcome to verizon, this call can be completed with a credit card or collect" message......I get no texts, or anything. Called cricket support, they knew nothing, told me to take it in and have it reprogrammed manually as *228 won't dial for some reason. Well, I started messing with the system settings and under network switched from automatic a to automatic b, nam from 1 to 2, back and forth in any corabination and all of a sudden it started working again. all the texts I hadn't received all day started pouring in. tested, and everything worked again except web. it just said dial *611 for this service. so the next day I took it in to the cricket store and had them reprogram as suggested, they did and the only thing that did was change the web error to "error cannot resolve hostname" I still haven't figured out how to fix that, but my main concern is this: all was well (except web) for a week, then out of nowhere again today the verizon message happened again.....messed with settings and poof, everything comes back. just happened again. and again, I messed with the network settings and my phone works again. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have the slightest clue as to why this is happening? Sorry this post is so long but I don't know how to explain it any shorter. Thank you in advance for any input anyone might have.
