.:: LG RUMOR By amoamare ::..

So my mms and web have been working great until the new service plan was added to my acct. Then is was giving me a screen asking me to pay $5 to add that feature but i have it on my plan. I called cricket 4 times and they had me *228 and said they were refreshing my acct. and that did not work. Finally I went in the the roaming and turned it to home only reset, then changed it back and now mms is working. But still having problems with wap.
Have checked all settings and everything is correct. Anyone else having this problem after adding the new plan?

call customer service, and have them refresh/provision the account. Most of the time when you change plans, and you have a cpe (customer provided equipment, flashed) phone the web, and mms is not provisioned correctly. You sometimes have to call several times, before customer service will actually do their job.

Update, after calling cricket 4 times (not counting the times I could not get through because all agents were busy) and then having one agent hang up on me because they said it was because i had a flashed phone that it would not work, after I told them it was working before. Then the next agent cold transfered me to pay-as-you-go dept because he did not know what to do. Then the next agent completely screwed up and turned off my Rumor and reactivated an old phone on my acct without me telling her to do that. The last agent I got I had to tell him to check the MEID on my acct and found that she had changed my phone. He re-added my phone and did his job and all is working. Grrrrr but I feel Traumatized by cricket this week! :(

This is what happens when an agent puts your phone in as "CPE". It won't provision, sometimes even text messaging won't work. Sadly most agents change it without telling you also.

What should they be putting in to provision it correctly? Should a Rumor be listed as a messenger or what? My daughters phone will work with pic message for a day or so, then no more untill she calls. :disappoin

Not sure what customer service has access to, but I activate all my flashed phones with the model V3 or QA30. This helps in some occasions, but I usually still have to call customer service to have the account provisioned correctly. It's not something that the agent/dealer does wrong. I have actually been told by tech support that the system is set up not to provision cpe phones even if you choose the model. Not sure how true that is, but it's seems accurate since I usually have to call for any full flashed phones I activate.

I have literally done 50-60 of these without a problem. Now I get this message when I start LGDP. I have tried to find something else using Com 1 but cant. I went into Device manager and to com ports and theres nothing using it, modems too, nothing using com1. I uninstalled LGPST and all the Dll's I installed that showed on my Programs list(Because I installed them a few days ago and thought they may be usine Com1), but still no luck. I've deinstalled and reinstalled LGDP 3x. I've run out of Ideas. I just used this program a few days ago and It worked fine...anyone have any ideas? I have a customer waiting...PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ok...So I hooked up my lx260, right clicked on My Computer>properties>Hardware>Device manager>com ports and my phone was on 17. then went up to modems and noticed LG CDMA USB Modem #2 was using Com port 16. I went in and changed that to Com port 1. then exited out and started LGDP. I made sure com1 and com 17 were checked on the Configure ports tab up top. Now the error message wont show, but LGDP can't read my phone. On the right hand side, nothing shows and when I scroll to the bottom it reads "Connecting..." in red and every 20-30 seconds it quickly flashes "Diag_NV_Read_F:Error Time Over" then quickly flashes "Not Connecting with 38.4k Baud Rate" then goes back to "Connecting..." in red. I realize its obviously not coonecting with my phone. But CDMA WS reads the phone fine and I was able to change the SPC. It also did this with another lx260 I had flashed with the same program a week ago.so I'm pretty sure its not the phone and not the cable. BTW I am using Windows XP, if that matters. . PLEASE! Can anyone help???

I tried that several times. The com port tab was alwyas checking 1 and had a few others open. However, this time the only open low number port(When I went to change it from 17) was 3. So I chenged it to 3. When I went to check 3 on lgdl, it was open, so I checked it and tried to see if it read the lx260; it didnt. Then I went back and unchecked port 1(Leaving port 3 as the only port checked), loaded the Dll, and it read it. So it must have been the port 1 being checked along with whatever port I was using; but I coulda sworn I tried that before. Anyway, it works now...thanx.
