So I've done some research and have heard some good things about this phone. However, reviews don't always let me know exactly how well a phone performs in certain areas so I just want some comparisons to phones that I own so I can make a more informed choice.
Reception:
I've heard of LG devices being pretty bad in terms of reception, but reviews of the Renoir say that it has excellent reception. Can anyone give a comparison to any other phones? If possible, can you compare it to an N95-1? The thing is I'll be spending some time in residence (on campus) and reception in those rooms are pretty bad. My N95 gets about 75% bars on average so what would the Renoir be getting?

I don't want a phone that lags or looks sluggish. That's basically it. How does it compare to an iPhone in terms of speed and smoothness?
Quality:
Can I drop this phone and be confident it won't break instantly? I'm not prone to dropping my phone but every once in a while my N95 has went face first into the floor and I'm very happy that it has survived and works just like it did day 1.
Those would be my main concerns so if anyone can do those comparisons for me, that would be awesome. Or if anyone knows anything else I should be worried about when it comes to the Renoir, please let me know
