I have just purchased an LG Portable Super Multi Drive. Having installed it onto my Toshiba laptop I tried watching a pre-recorded dvd via LG PowerDVD. Picture was perfect but unfortunately no sound. I checked all the settings I could think of including the volume control on my laptop but couldn't find what was stopping the sound. I then tried playing the same dvd (still using the LG Multi Drive but using Windows Media and got sound, no problem. If I am going to use my new LG Multi Drive for burning CD/DVD's I will obviously need the sound to work. Has anyone any ideas. Also do you think the USB Powered drives are just as good as the AC Adapter ones. This one is adapter-less and runs via USB power from my laptop.
