you just need a sim card if its a basic gsm phone. just get a regular phone plan. if its a smart phone then you need to get a smart phone plan. try doing it online, if you phone them they'll probably want you go to a kiosk so they can get their grubby hands all over it and possibly deny you.

ok so im gonna switch networks from telus to fido soon because i am getting a new phone from hong kong. I was wondering how i would go about using the gsm phone on fido network... like do i just need a smart card and that's it or do i need a plan as well??
