LG KU990 Touch Screen Problem?

I have the LG KU990 (Viewty) and recently the touch screen has started losing its calibration.
It happens at completely random times and sometimes after leaving it for a period corrects itself.
I have tried re-calibrating the touch screen but this only has a short term effect
 
I tried disassembling the KU990 many times, and checking all cables, no problem found.

I eventually fixed it by a simple solution:

Bend the metal cover a bit inward so it pressed the phone body better. So far it works and I think this solve some bad contact problem.
