LG KM900 cant hear ringtones?

I have an LG KM900 mobile, the touch sound works, alarm works and works fine with earphones, but no sound comes out when i try to play ringtones/songs, I dont think its the speaker because the alarm works and touch sounds fine. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Thanks for your time
