LG GT540 Mobile phone help (in New Zealand)?

I have a new LG GT540 Optimus mobile phone, and I want to go online without using our home wireless connection, as Its not connected yet (we have just moved house)
Does the phone have a mobile internet connection I can use? I am on prepay.
Any other tips on this phone would be helpful :)
