LG G2X: How to set a song as a ringtone for Text Messages?

I'm able to set the songs in my music folder as a ringtone for calls, but it doesn't give me the option to do it for text messages. Is it possible to do it? If there's a way to do it, please help me out. Thanks!

Android actually has this feature built in. All you have to do is make a folder called "notifications" somewhere on the SD card. I have mine at media/notifications. Then you just put the song in the folder and you can set it from now on as a notification in any app. Works for ringtones and alarms to.

go to my files>> music>> find the song and hold down until a menu comes up>> click copy>> select the notifications folder (usually in the media folder)>> go to messaging>> settings>> select ringtone
and your song should be in there.
